Description

Calling all women, femme, or non-binary bartenders in the greater New Orleans area! It’s time to apply for the Skylight Hospitality Mentorship Program New Orleans; our six-week hospitality mentorship and education program in partnership with Moët Hennessy’s Trade Advocacy team. Motivated industry professionals can learn first-hand from our exceptional group of ceiling-shattering mentors and educators.Awardees of this program will be paired directly with a mentor from a group of prominent women, femme, and non-binary leaders in the industry. 

Awardees will also receive access to educational programming covering a range of critical topics from cocktail creation, bar management, ID&E, personal brand building and more! This program will culminate in an event to showcase the hard work of our mentors and mentees; it also serves as the mentees’ graduation event!

Everyone involved will leave the program with enriched professional skills and deeper industry connections.

Details and commitment expectations below:  

Six week Program 

7/22-9/15 exact dates subject to slight change

• Weekly 1 hour (maximum) video calls directly with mentor

• Weekly homework assignments provided by mentor 

• Weekly 1 hour (maximum) education sessions (four sessions held virtually, two in-person)

• Development of an original cocktail to be featured at the end of the event celebration

• Participation at the finale cocktail showcase on September 15th to share your creation and celebrate your program graduation!

Eligibility requirements: 

• Identify as woman, femme or non-binary

• New Orleans, LA Resident

• Currently working in the hospitality industry as a bartender

• Are 21 years or older

• Can commit to the 2 hours a week of mentorship and leadership classes during the 6 week program

• Can commit to participation in the finale showcase held on September 15th, 2024
